How dry is the DriFresh Dry Extraction System?
When you clean with DriFresh you are using about 1 teaspoon
of water per square metre.
A hot water extraction machine uses 10 - 60 times that
amount, depending on the machine. Some machines use 1 - 2 gallons per
minute - one company advertises 4½
gallons per minute.
When you are finished
cleaning the carpet is dry and ready to walk on. When wet
cleaning is finished, they need fans and dehumidifiers to dry the carpet.
If they are lucky and the humidity is not too high, the carpet may be dry in
4 - 6 hours.
The Industry Standard
in the IICRC (International Institute of Carpet Restorers and Cleaners) S100
Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Carpet Cleaning, is the carpet
must be dry 24 hours after cleaning is done. 24 Hours later -
That is not dry carpet!!
